A few days ago, I had enough money to buy the components of a rig that I have been saving up for. My old rig, which wasn't functional because I was using it's processor in another computer, was meant to be a gift for my brother. Yesterday I put the processor in and successfully booted into the OS, now because I had done this on my desk where I study, I had to move it. Once I had moved it, I turned it on, it again booted up correctly. A couple of minutes after that it switched off, like I had unplugged it, for no apparent reason. Then I noticed that a wire that was sticking into the PSU was preventing the fan from starting. I moved the wire and tried to turn it on again. The screen remained black. Slightly annoyed, I checked the mobo LED and it was off. Then I realized the full implications of what happened. So guys I would really appreciate help in this matter, and thanks in advance.
