Computer will not turn off

Hello- I have a HP Pavillion DV9000 Lap top. The computer goes into a sleep mode. the power button blinks, but you cant turn the computer on or off. I then have to unplug the computer and disconnect the battery and then plug the computer back in. At this point the computer works fine until the computer goes back to sleep.

That's funny!

Go into power management and change "what the power buttons do". It's probably not going to sleep but rather hibernating.

That's a pretty old system too...
