Hello,

I need some help finding a good graphics card for my dell dimension 8250. Reason: I want to play the racing sims ( rFactor, GTR Series etc. ) I have with high(er) quality graphics and a better frame rate.

PC Specs:
Pentium 4 2.40GHz
512MB RAM ( Will be adding 512MB more ) Cost me $30
200W Power Supply
I'm using the original card which is a Radeon 9500/9700 Pro
AGP 4x.

I would like to get the best possible card for my pc at around $100 or less.

The problem you are going to have is the PSU being only 200W. The best GPU would be this HD4650, you can get a HD4670 for more than you budget as well (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125281).

Given your PSU (you could upgrade it, of course) you might be able to get away with this GPU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161318)

There is a website that I have used to buy Dell parts (txcesssurplus.com) that you might be able to get a better Dell PSU for your system. Since you have an older Dell, it may require a Dell specific PSU as some older Dells used proprietary PSU to mobo connectors. I am not sure if yours is one of them.

Good luck!
