About the GTX 570

I have a power supply 650watts with 35amps on the 12v rail.

Would I be going overboard by installing this card?

I also have an Athlon II X2 235 CPU, and 6GB of RAM, Windows 7 64-bit.

I am wondering because I saw on Newegg for you need 38amps on the 12v rail, but with at least a 550w its required.

Should I do it, or not?

Your processor is very limiting compared to the strength of the card. You'll see the same performance as an HD5770.

That's the best card I'd recommend for you as well; anything above that is very, very limiting.

But yes, your PSU would run that just fine.

Well I was waiting until sandy bridge so AMD Processors would drop in price.
