Another upgrade question

Forum Graphics & Displays : Graphics Cards Another upgrade question

Hello,
I'm currently running a Core2 E8400 3ghz with twin geforce 8800 gt in sli setup. It struggles a bit with some games so I wondered the best method of increasing the power. Would a single gtx 460 be faster? I've had no experience in overclocking so have not gone down this road.

yes, but I would also see about overclocking that processor..
what is your RAM looking like.?
with the proper cpu settings and or upgrade and the GTX460, 4GB in dual channel mode, you can run this unit awhile longer..

I have 4GB (2x2GB) of DDR2 400MHz. I've had no experince in overclocking but an certainly willining to give it a go.
