Hi, I plan to build my own computer and I was wondering how much power my system would need. I plan to get

cpu: AMD phenom II X4 955
gpu: evga 460gtx
ram: gskill 4gb 1333
mobo: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO
hdd: wd caviar black 500gb 7200rpm
odd: just a regular dvd writer
case: antec three hundred mid tower case

I was planning to get antec 620w but the rebate just ended and now it seems kind of pricey, so I wanted to get a 600w or even a 550w if my system isn't very power hungry. Would that be enough power for everything? I heard that having a good psu is pretty important, so I'm not sure if I can get a weaker psu's without killing my system :/ Oh and I'm probably not going to be overclocking anything... i might try overclocking my gpu.... but it's unlikely. Thanks!

The BP 550 is alright, its not on my favorities or my crap list, but for only $5 more you can pick up the Seasonic S12II 520 which has 480W(40A) available between its 12V rails vs the BP 550s 384W(32A) which would be a bit closer to what i expect for a 450W unit. The S12II is also more efficient and uses better quality components, its not designed to be the bare minimum safe but still on a budget.

That PSU will work out just fine with that setup.
