Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T(3.3Ghz) - $240
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 Socket AM3 - $180
RAM: Unsure, don't really understand whether or not fast CAS latency timings will run stable/will it even boot up/and or do i need to mess with voltage parameters
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 - $240
Or Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 - $280
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200rpm SATA 6.0 64MB cache - $70
PSU: SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W Fully Modular “80 Plus Gold” - $160
Case: Lian Li PC-60FNWX $200
Optical drives- Unsure, definitely want to be able to watch BluRay, don't care about burning
Monitor: HP 2311x 23" LCD monitor

This is for entertainment purposes, mostly movies/videos. I'm not really into gaming much but sometimes I play just to push the system with FPS's.

Haha thanks for the replies! I'll definitely be renting a lot of Blu Rays, but I also plan on using Netflix's streaming quite a bit too. This is to be my sole entertainment system, I opted for this instead of TV/Satellite.. but yes I'm aware it's a bit overkill for my needs :)

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 RAM $60 At this point in time the motherboard will know more about how to manage the RAM correctly than you do. Let the MB take care of the details till you feel ready to tackle tighter timings and maybe some overclocking.

Even a small overclock of the CPU will get you a greater performance boost than all the RAM tweaking you can do.
CM Hyper 212 Plus 120mm CPU Cooler $30

LG 10X Blu-ray Burner - LightScribe $95

You picked a really excellent PSU. But for about $60 less (after rebate) you can get an equally good
XFX Black Edition 750W CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Modular PSU $130 & $30 rebate. Plenty of power for your system with 2x Radeon HD 6950 or 2x HD 6870.

For your 1920 x 1080 LCD monitor either HD 6850, HD 6870 or HD 6950 would do really well.

For gaming (and other entertainment related activity) that X6 1090T is not a requirement.

Combo deal: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz & ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard $310 gets you $110 in savings.

You can use those savings toward some Blu-Ray titles or maybe an upgraded monitor like the 27" HP 2711x $260
or a SSD boot drive OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 60GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $120
