HI. i dont no much about doing a pc up just no how to use one lol. so i was wondering what from the info below would be best way of making my pc a bit quicker. on a normal day i have music playing wile iam downloading and burning cd/dvd and playing games. at times the pc just wont want to all of them goes abit slow. thanx

CPU Arch : 1 CPU - 2 Cores - 2 Threads
CPU PSN : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+
CPU EXT : MMX(+), 3DNow!(+), SSE (1, 2, 3), x86-64, AMD-V
CPUID : F.B.1 / Extended : F.6B
CPU Cache : L1 : 2 x 64 / 2 x 64 KB - L2 : 2 x 512 KB
Core : Brisbane (65 nm) / Stepping : BH-G1
Freq : 1004.59 MHz (200.93 * 5)
MB Brand : FUJITSU SIEMENS
MB Model : D2464-A2
NB : NVIDIA GeForce 6150 rev A2
SB : NVIDIA nForce 410/430 MCP rev A3
GPU Type : NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)
DirectX Version : 11.0
RAM : 2048 MB DDR2 Dual Channel
RAM Speed : 200.9 MHz (Unknown) @ 5-5-5-15
Slot 1 : 1024MB (6400)
Slot 1 Manufacturer : Samsung
Slot 2 : 1024MB (5300)
Slot 2 Manufacturer : Samsung

Add another 4GB of PC5300 using matched pairs will improve performance, you will need to move to a 64-bit o/s.

Use a dedicated graphics card rather than the onboard 6150LE which is not a gaming card.

CPU upgrade, ????

Manual for E6515 @ http://support.ts.fujitsu.com

To be honest, once you factor in the costs of the above, your looking at a new base unit for the same price.

thank you for replying. i can only have a max of 4gb so i would be best to by them pc5300 and chuck my other ones. i want a pci x16 graphics card but someone has told me i need minimum of 350w for a 1gb top of the range graphics card but being low profile iam limited to space. so i will probs go with what you said about a new base unit. what type of box will fit my ddr2 low profile. if i by any box it wont fit. To play games you need a dedicated GPU and for that you need a new PSU I suggest Antec 450W http://www.ebuyer.com/product/245675 £29.85 + Radeon 5830 http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/ATI/ATI+5800+Series/Arianet+ATI+Radeon+HD+5830+1024MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=44467&rqcType=q#rqc £69.95 you need to pay 2 lots of delivery on this if its to much cahnge the GPU for this 5670 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/190977 £68.91 and get free delivery with the PSU.

will they fit into my low profile box. the Arianet ATI Radeon HD 5830 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card.... looks like a very good graphics card. better than my 256mb on board one lol.

I am not sure what case do you have?

Unfortunately a mainstream psu will not fit into your fujitsu desktop casing.
Fujitsu uses self fabricated psu's to fit their own designed cases.
So it's going to be hard to find a suitable psu for youre needs without going to fujitsu themselves.
Regarding the Arianet video card as far as i can see this product it's a full height video card, wich will also not fit in your low profile casing.

For the video part, take a look at this:

http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/Palit+GeForce+GT+430+Low+Profile+1024MB+GDDR3+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=43789

Gaming capable and yet low profile.

The board (if not mistaken) can hold up to 4Gb of ram, so upgrading is possible but if doing so the best option is like stig mentioned to keep them paired (all of same type).

Regarding the cpu, as far as bios update's go and i can see from here the maximum cpu is a amd 4400+.
Not very much to win there.

Hope this helps :)

yes your right max of 4gb ram. yeah i will be geting 2x 2gb ram and make sure they are the same.

i have had a good luck at my pcu and its not a perfect square its curves to fit in and it is not that big and it only just fits into my pc. its 250w power and 270w for 10 seconds it say's.

i can see where you are all coming from with a low profile pc. what a ah heck.

only reason i got this pc was when i went to get a pc this was the only dual-core. and ino these days a dual-core is the minimum you will need to play good games and speed things up a bit

now i get what your saying about graphics card at the back where i would plug my monitor into its half the height of a normal tower

so from what your all saying i would need to put this mother board into a tower and get a 350w minimum pcu with to of the same ram. get the graphics simon12 said to get.

what type of tower will i need for this ddr2 low profile pile of **** lol

As far as i know it doesn't really matter what type of casing you get.
Mainboard mounting is universal and also fujitsu does not ignore that fact.
So either atx case should suffice.

Yes this should fit nicely, btw the casing has nothing to do with the memory.
It's all about mainboard form factor.

Only thing that you should look after when putting everything in your new case is where to place those notches in regards of your mainboard hole's.
After that, just bang in the rest of the parts and off you go :)
