Ati 6870 overheating

I need some help please i just got a ati6870 g-card and i cant get it to cool
when gaming it runs at 78C +

Are you overclocking the GPU? Also, what PSU make/model are you using? Last are you system specs, including case and cooling fans?

I'm not sure 78C under load is overheating.

Then add your ambient tempuratures to those numbers. (Those numbers are after subtracting their room temperatures).

If you are within 10C, you are doing fine. Your case may not have as good of air flow, so there are some other factors that play a part.

+1 to bystander. If this is your temp at full load, you are fine. If this is your idle temp, there is a problem. Forgot to ask earlier, but how are you measuring temps?
