Trying to decide between the HD 5550 vs GT 220.
Requirements are low profile and low power usage and under 75 dollars.
I am leaning towards the 5550 but wanted some advice and opinions.
Thank you

You might be able to ninja a much better card for $75 such as a GT 240 or a GT430 instead of a weak GT220. If you are set and stubborn with only those two choices then settle with the 5550 due to raw performance.

NO, A GT220 WILL BE MORE BETTER CHOICE THAN ANYOTHER LOW END GPU,ITS REALLY GOOD,JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET DDR3 VERSION,IT WILL PLAY GAMES FINE AT UPTO 1280 X 768,AND MEDIUM SETTINGS.

It is a SFF case (Dell 755) and a weak PSU so it needs to be low profile and low power draw.
I was leaning towards the 5550 myself due to reviews and specs I read.
I just didnt know much about the GT220.
The 5550 is 35W max draw.
Also like that is DX11.
I am not a heavy gamer.
I like a little L4D2 (1920x1080 med settings) and Crysis Warhead (1280x1024 lowest settings) and Far Cry 2 (1600x1200 med settings) sometimes but I have been playing them with a OCd 7600GS AGP so this will be a big improvement for me.

Good call.
HD5550 is lower power draw (39watts vs 58watt for GT220) and the 5550 is DX11 while GT220 is not.
so the HD5550 is the winner.
Actually read that the HD5550 is a good OCer and with a good OC it matches the 5570.
Thank all of you for your time.

no,i said dont go with hd 5550 if you have choice of gt 220,i ve used both gpus believe me hd 5550 cant use directx11,it doesnt have enough power to do that,if you want directx11 go with hd 5670,nothing less will be your bad luck,gt 220 is a good card, just make sure you get sddr3 version.
