I am trying to talk him into coming up with a few more bucks for the 965 and a 6g Hard drive might as well get everything you can out of it, and thanks for the monitor idea I didn't even notice it wasn't 1080
CPU => Stick with the x4 955 and go into the BIOS and up the multiplier to the 965 / 970 settings. Those are the same chip with the only difference being the multiplier setting from the factory. All of the X4 Deneb chips will clock / overclock very similarly..
I'm OK with your choice of NZXT M59 case (review) and OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W PSU (review). It's a nice find on a good price combo.
I could not find an independent review on the Patriot ‘Sector 5’ RAM kit. The NewEgg customer reviews are where you like to see them @ above 80% 4&5 eggs. But there is just a small number in the review pool.
