Hi I am going to building a new machine , here are the specs:

I5 2500K
Asus P8P67-M PRO Intel P67
AMD 6850 OR A 5870
12GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR DDR3 3 x 4gb
COOLERMASTER HAF X 32
ANTEC TRUE POWER 750W MODULAR
CORSAIR HYDRO H60
1TB SAMSUNG SATA III HD
128GB CRUICIAL SSD

I am going to be doing some heavy gaming at 1920 x 1080.
Plan on OC past 4ghz and oc my vid card
What do you guys think, will the vid card be ok? Budget for a card £150-250

Cheers

Go with the 5870 for sure such a easy card to over-clock and it is better then the 6850, the rest of the system looks ok to me.

Save on your ram and just get 2x4GB since LGA 1155 does not support triple channel!
The GPU's you list will do fine but the HD5870 is the more powerful, other cards to look at are HD6870, HD6950.

5870 is more powerful, however I would upgrade the graphics card to something more powerful; the watercooling isn't needed for sandybridge, you'll be able to get to a good oc without it, it'd be beter to put that money towards a better GPU. For example a 6950. If you really want to max your games at 1920*1080, with AA and AF, whilst getting high fps I don't really think the 5870 is good enough, although if you aren't too fussed about AA it should be fine.

Furthermore, 750W gives you headroom, but it isn't necessary, you could use a 650W without any issues.
