microcenters have always been selling this cheap.I am not sure what principles they have but yes it has always been cheaper in microcenters.

I wish they had something similar to this in Canada that's a great deal. And no, it's not a catch, you can always find very cheap processors at Microcenter's

The catch is that you have to be a walk in customer. They hope you will buy the rest of the parts from them also.

Microcenter does offer its Intel® processors at a discounted price. They also try to encourage you to buy a warranty through them to in which they will do any exchanges or deal with problems at the store.

Who care. I got my i5-2500k, P67(b2), since 1/9/2011 and Hyper 212 ($20, long time ago) for cheap price. Now my PC run great.

The Intel® warranty of 3 years is in effect on all Intel boxed products. That warranty that is handled from our tech support #. Any benefit that Microcenter gets as a member of the Intel Channel program is up to them on how they offer it or if they offer it to their customers.
