Hello

so I was looking at some details about this ram

G.SKILL Value Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231421

and noticed that it mentions compatibility with only the 890 and 790 series amd chipsets. so checking back to my mobo, i have:

ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280&Tpk=asrock%20extreme3%20970

which is a 970 northbridge and sb950 southbridge. i'm worried that the mobo and ram might not be compatible based on this factor alone, even though they're both 240-pin ddr3 1333

can anyone explain what the chipset compatibility of the ram refers to?
even if you're not sure what it means, but know enough to assure me that these are compatible... that would be great too

thanks
