Hi, I have a "Dell inspiron 1150" an was wondering if it is possible to
setup my notebook with a desktop monitor so I could get more "screen
real-estate". I am hoping to avoid the hardware route (I have found a
few hardware solutions already) if possible. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

If you have XP, go to display properties, and if your video card supports 2
screens it will show 2 screens on the setup. The setup is pretty easy.
