CM hyper 212+ CPU cooler

hey guys, just a quick question:

i just put together my build, and its a cm storm scout case with a hyper 212+ cpu cooler. and its a bit noisy (its spose to be quit, says so on box)

anyway, it came with some rubber anti vibration or something but im not sure if thatll help, or where to put it.

though i have a nzxt lcd fan controller, so if i slow the speeds will it be less noisy?

and where do you even apply the temperature probes on the fans, and which fan is numbered wht?

Did the fan in the box came with rubber pads on the 4 corners ?
If not thats the place where those rubber pads need to come.

I have this cooler as well, and i got next to no noise at all from this cooler.

Those rubbers on the fan should connect with the heatsink.

ok ill have a look tomorrow when i open it up again. if its not on there would it fit when i put the fan back on the metal plate thingo?

yes that is normally the whole setup with the hyper 212

i checked, and the rubber bits are there... maybe when i get my fan controller to work i can slow it down.

Your fan controller will help.
I have a 212+ and i wouldn't consider it quiet,it's definitely 30db+.
And is the loudest fan in my case.
Great cooler though.

ok i changed the settings in the bios and slowed it down and its quiter now. im not sure wht settings i should be putting it at. i have it currently at lvl5 with 50c/122f. not sure if i can change the other fans in that program thing but it doesnt matter. currently its sitting at 32/33c while not rly doing anything.

just wondering wht settings i can change it to as i dont know what is good or bad temps for it.

stil ldont know how to do the fan controller lolz

Well those temps are excellent regardless of what cpu you didn't bother to mention.
