Hello I am building a rig for a friend and decided to use the amd budget build that was put up on toms hardware a while ago
the build is as follows.
-Processor AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.10 GHz Processor - Tri-core $78
-Motherboard Biostar A770E3 ATX AMD Motherboard $55
-RAM OCZ Technology Obsidian 4GB DDR3 SDRAM Memory Module $103
-Graphics Card My old Radeon 4870 to reduce costs $0
-Hard Drive A 200gb samsung 7200 rpm drive lying around To reduce costs $0
-Case Antec Three Hundred Mid-Tower $55
Psu- 550w???
THis is the build That I Have so far, Trying to reduce costs As much as possible becuase my friend doesnt have much to spend on a comp. So heres my question, I have a 550w psu sitting around that I could give him to use as well. I just am not sure if it will meet the requirements of the rig seeing as the build originally called for a 650w psu. The main purpose of the rig will be to play world of warcraft, league of legends and Diablo 3 well. Stuff doesnt need to be maxed out just up to good or high if possible. I appreciate any answers you Guys are able to provide.
