Hi, I'm a long time lurker but a first time poster.
Recently I built a new PC (first time) and all has gone well thus far except my gpu is not being detected by my motherboard. The card seems firmly seated and the cord to the psu as well as the one to the mobo are also in place. At this point I don't know if I am dealing with a dead card, or whether it is user side error.
Is there any sort of diagnostic utility I can run to tell whether it is me or the card? Or does anyone have any advice on how to get my computer to detect the card?
The card is a AMD HD6870
The mobo is a Gigabyte ga-870a-ud3
If any other information is needed don't hesitate to ask, I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread.
