Heat pipes touching ram heatsinks Tags: New Build Corsair Dominator Heat RAM Motherboards Heatsinks Systems Last response: February 12, 2011 5:39 PM in Systems Share The Horse Man February 12, 2011 4:24:02 PM Hi all, I have just built a new system using a Scythe Shuriken and Corsair Dominator ram. Unfortunately as you can see from the pics below, the heat pipes of the Shuriken are touching one of my sticks of ram. Is this something i should worry about? I don't think its bending the ram. Temperature seems fine and PC operates great. Additionally, would it be possible for me to change the ram slot pairing of my motherboard? Currently using slots 2 and 4 but if I could use 3+4 all problems would be solved! Motherboard is a GA-880GMA-UDH2 Any advice would be greatly appreciated More about : heat pipes touching ram heatsinks jimftr February 12, 2011 5:39:55 PM If the temps are ok, i wouldn't worry. The ram just needs to be firmly in the slot. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
