Ram advice please help

hi
im currently doing my first pc build. in the next few days i will be buying a motherboard and cpu. i planned to wait another few weeks so i could afford to buy some good ram, corsair vengence. my cpu is on offer so i cant wait. for the time being im going to buy some cheap ram. heres the link

my question is:
can i play games with this ram.
i plan to run crysis on max and i need advice to let me know if it is possible with this ram.
is this ram cheap for a reason.

Uhm dude you know you need a good graphics card to be able to play games, right?

For Crysis 2 (and 1, for that matter) you'd need at least a GTX460 to be able to max the game.

Corsair Vengeance is good gaming RAM, so as long it's enough, you'll be able to run anything (given your CPU and graphics card is up to date).

hi yh i have a palit gtx 460 and im getting a i5 2500k.
going back to my question
will that ram run crysis without any problems(the cheap ram not the vengence).

Yeah cheap RAM doesn't really make a difference, it will just affect the reliability of the RAM in the long run. Either way, I just opened the link for the first time, and Corsair RAM seriously isn't bad, at all. 2GB is a bit too little though, you'd be making a much better choice in just getting a 4GB kit from the start. 2GB won't really run any new games with much effect.

Oh yes, I also have a GTX460, Core 2 Quad CPU, 3GB RAM and I can run Crysis 2 at 1920x1080, all settings maxed out. Smooth as can be. Greatly optimized game, that is.

this is my first build im 14 and i my budget is limited. so im relying on this ram to run the likes of crysis.

The more RAM you have, the less often will the game need to load data from your harddisk. I dont play games but that ram would be ok.
