Router set-up disc for WRT54-v8

Hello,
I recently tried to allow network sharing and have trashed my own system communication. I need to get my wireless routers password back or assign a new password that my system will respond to. I attempted the "admin" route but can't seem to make this work and I don't want an unproteced system.

Don't need the setup disc. Download the router manual from Linksys.

Connect the computer to the router by ethernet cable while setting up.

Press the reset button (usually below a pinhole on the same surface as the ethernet sockets) to restore the default password to log into the router's setup screens.
