Poss a 9600XT but U can run 5900XT to as fast/faster than a 5700ultra (depending on what manufacturer version U buy the oc'ing goes v. well) for near the same money...

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...

I think I'll be going with the 9600XT. Either way, it will be a huge performance increase over my GeForce 3 TI200-128MB

I don't remember where I heard it, but someone told me that with my current 2400+, it's not worth it to go higher than 9600XT. ie with a 9800XT, the CPU would be the bottleneck and you wouldn't get much more preformance if you had a 9600XT. That doesn't sound right. Does it? I can imagine if I had a P3 or something. Can someone set this straight for me?

Not true. You will see difference between R9600XT and R9800 Pro, especially in high resolutions and with AA on.
