For about a month I have been using my router without any problems for two computers in my house. Then recently, for some unknown reason, the internet stopped working on both computers. If I connect the modem directly to the main computer it works, however, so I know it must be a router problem. The error I am currently getting is that the internet has "Limited or no connectivity". Also, my TCP/IP config is set to Automatically detect settings, because it has worked so long like that. But I thought that may be the problem. Although I've messed with it and nothing... I'm not using wireless

What IP are you getting? Can you login to the router? Can you even ping the router? A good old-fashioned factory reset can work too, though you lose any customized settings, though they can be replaced.

The only cause I've seen of the "limited or no connectivity" is the network adapter isn't getting DHCP informtion.

You should try resetting the router and power cycling the router. If stuff like that doesn't work, you might have to resort to manually setting IP information (and turning off the router's DHCP server).

I had a problem with my DG814 router that caused it to loose internet connectivity every now and then. It was caused by the NAT tables becoming to big for the buffer apparently. Anyway, a firmware update sorted this out so you might wanna go to your routers web page and see if there are any similar problems.
