Hello,
My question today is about the coolermaster storm scout case filter for the power supply

Once the power supply in installed it is necessary to remove the power supply if the filter needs changing.

In addition there is no way to check the filter to see if it needed changing.

THEREFORE

My contention is that it is better to remove the filter mesh so as to avoid having to remove the pwr supply if it were to become necessary.

Any opinions would be appreciated

Either that or find a method to keep it intact under the case.
The CM690II suffers from the exact same flaw.
I have a hybrid psu so taking 4 screws out and moving the psu to access the filter isn't so bad.
Still a PITA and a stupid flaw considering the 690II has a filter for 2x120mm fans right beside the psu cutout/filter.
The filter for the fans is outside of the case! lol!
Oh and btw when i did have the presence of mind to check the psu filter it was clogged right up.
And i don't keep my cases on the floor.

I Have an idea -- how about taking out the filter mesh and putting it on the outside of the case -- now to figure out how to secure it to the case

I also keep my machine off the floor

Velcro would probably be the best.
Pretty sure it comes in tape kits at hardware stores.
