More about will phenom work gigabyte a75m ud2h socket
  1. I don't think it will work. Here is the list with cpu supported by that mobo : http://ro.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3928 and Phenom IIx4 840 isn't there.
Better buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280 and you can in future to upgrade your CPU to a six core, eight core if you need.
  2. No unfortunately not. The FM1 Socket boards only support AMD APU's.
The Phenom II you mentioned is an AM3 socket CPU.

Electronically and physically different interface with which the motherboard and CPU mates.
  3. definately no, am3 and fm1 differ in many ways.
