I have a Gateway DX4300-03 computer with a 300watt power supply. I added a new video card, and I need to get a bigger power supply, at least 500 watt I assume. The video card I added is a ATI Radeon HD 5670 1 GB DDR5. I know I need more power. But I don't know which power supply is compatible with my current computer?

Thank you for your response! So anyone of these listed will work with my model of computer being a GatewayDX4300-03? Just out of curiousity are most power supply units on the market interchangeable, in the sense that you have to be very careful which one is just right, or is it a pretty easy thing to pick out. For instance, purchasing the right RAM chip set has to be just right, and they are so unique as to which one will work in your computer. I guess what I am asking is how unique are PSUs to say like cpu chips and RAM chips? Just curious.

No to your question. There are standards for all computer parts thats makers must adhere to. All parts are interchangeable as long as its supported (you can't put ddr 2 in ddr3 boards or a PCI-e graphics card in a AGP graphics slot)

Psu's and most computer parts are standardized and cant fit in any case thats conforming the ATX standards. =]
