My burner is shot to hell so I can't make any physical backups and it's been FAR FAR to long since I messed with partitions.

If I make a partition and backup all my non-OS related files (Game files, music etc) and attempt a clean win7 64b install will I be able to keep that backup partition of will the install require a full wipe?

forgive me if I'm not clear, too many turkey left overs.

Solution
yes windows 7 should see the 2 partitions during install and let you select the right one and leave the data

one intact

though backup to a usb flash drive or external hard drive as well as a data partition would be my

recommendation in case of mechanical disk failures
