Good Afternoon!

I recently asked for some advice on whether or not some selections I made for my first build would be compatiable with one another, and was given some fantastic advice.

I finished building my computer over the weekend and have come across a bit of a problem however. My case has 2 extra fans, one on the front and one on the top. Both of these fans have 2 connectors coming off of each one, two 4 pin (molex i believe is what theyre called?) one is a female the other is a male. My current psu has 4 - 6 pin hdd/sata outlets and 2 - 8 pin pcie outlets.

Is there any way I can hook up these case fans with the above mentioned outlets? I am powering an nvidia gtx 460 vid card off of this.

This is a male end molex.

If you fan has one, then you can just hook it up to the female end molex coming off your PSU.

Most fans will have a male and female end to allow daisy chaining. Just plug male of fan in female of PSU, and male of other fans into the female attached to the first fan.

correct those are the two connectors that are coming off of the fans that I have. And I have read that it is common to "daisy chain" these, however the the psu I have has no plug ins for a molex connector.

ok that PSU is /fail it's a Huntkey. Its most likely this psu with different sticker

Let's just say Huntkey PSU's are famous for their wonderful ability to explode when you try to put them at even half load...

My advice would be to not risk your gtx 460 on that thing and pick up a nice actual 500W PSU from a reputable company. The rocketfish is probably a 360w unit at best.

So this Antec $50 PSU at the cheapest

Though I'd recommend spending a few extra bucks for this xfx $65 after MIR
