HD 5770 giving me issues

Well I got my computer all together and can play any game I want for about 20 minutes. After that it usually makes a little funny noise glitches really fast and crashes. Im running catalyst 10.12 and I tried deleting the drivers and reinstalling but it still does it. The card is an XFX HD 5770. Can someone please help me?

what are your temps? are you OCing your GPU? do a stability test with MSI Kombuster or FURMARK. We need a little more info then your games are crashing.

Sorry, I'm kinda new with all this stuff. I didnt OC my GPU. Ill get FURMARK and report back with the results.

i use MSI afterburner v1.6.1 to monitor temps and other stuff with the GPU. plus when you want to OC, you can with that program

I think it might be my card overheating. It got to 74(C) and I stopped it because I didn't want to crash. It was still creeping up slowly. I Don't know how to adjust my fan though.

74 is fine, i run 74-76 all day long, anything 80ish+ is where you should stop it.

is it crashing when running FURMARK stability? run it for 20+ mins see if you get the same results
You can adjust your fan with MSI afterburner, but there should be no reason to. the fan will adjust its self to maintain a mid 70*c temp.
If its still crashing with the stability test, then send it back. there is a reason I choose XFX (got to love the lifetime warranty)

That "funny noise" has been overlooked. Sounds like a bad induction coil. RMA is in order.
