these host settings influence the farms build / turn:
    A) Farms require 1000 colonists each to run them
    B) New Farms Per Turn

If A is YES, then the limit you can have is your number of colos. You
can build them all in simply 1 turn or spread over several. If your #
of colos drops th efarms above th elimit will not work anymore and you
will receive log entries for those bases.
If A is NO, then there is a limit of farms you can build each turn.
default value is 10. This is absolutely independent of the # of colos
you have at any point of time.

You can check A if you press the FIG button in your client. If that is
NO then ask your host about the # of farms, if you don't see it on the
    site where you are playing.

    In my case it is

    Farms Need 1000 Colonists: YES

    Totals For Our Empire
    Colonists : 2 000 000

so my population / 1000 = max number of farm

    so I can have 2000 farm ?
    on my hw ?

climate 52 soil 100 ( the climate I understand, you can build farm or not)

What does the soil 100 STAT do ???

I play Empire with min farm climate 45 max farm climate 65

I will receive 2000 food and 2000 $ cash per turn with 2000 farm right ?

    THANKS

In addition, if the number of farms ever gets in excess of soil rating
(Borg / Solarain Ground Chunnel and also a few ships have a device that
lowers soil ratings,) all farms in excess of soil rating are lost.

You don't need the population to build or maintiagn farms, however you
do need the population to work them.
And the same 1000 colonists running a farm can run 10 mines at the same
    time.

And the soil is a limit for max farms too.

    Bye-Bye JoSch.

Soil is the max possible food production of farms per turn. This kind of informations you can quiet well find in the online docs
or even in the planets help file in your planets root directory.

NOTE!! Farms also allow you to produce goats, which are stategically
    irreplaceble if enabled by host.

    - Skies

(Just noticed it yesterday on Klingon Kommand. =)

If you would please look at the setup of the game up front (on drewhead
    - since that is your game), to come up with the max number of farms
allowed to be build in one turn per base, as it is a configureable host
option. Otherwise please first of all look through the help files and
read them, most of the question you did ask you would not have asked if
    you would have done that.

BTW you will receive around turn 8 a Mig Shuttle with a few credits and
high tech stuff (ie. shields) - and with that the chances for the EE
are not that bad, especially considering that you can then try to get
many prisoners with them fast (troops are better for capturing than
    your battlebots would be).

If you have soil 100 you can build up to 100 farms! Each farm produce 1 food
    + 1 MC
