What's better? 1090t 950 i7

I know that intel's new i7 processors have become a huge hit. I'd like to know what is better for gaming the intel core i7 950 (not sure of the ghz) but i'm pretty sure it's quad core. Or the AMD Phenom 1090t 3.2ghz 6 core processor? I'm assusming the 1090t since it is not only faster (ghz) and has more cores but i'm not sure.

i3's are actually competitive against the 1090T...AMD is getting a bit long in the tooth. That should hopefully change within a month with bulldozer though. If you do want to buy AMD now, the 975 will run faster that the 1090 for gaming.
