which one is the better choice?

both are built by seasonic and both have almost the same price
none is modular and I am really not interested in a modular PSU.

however even if they are made bu the same company and have almost the same power and about the same efficiency, there are some difference, most notably is the fact that the PSU branded corsair has more types of protection, including the under voltage one, which the seasonic branded PSU does not have.

but there may be other things which the seasonic one has but the corsair doesnt, and if that is the case maybe you guys can guide me into this.

thanks in advance.

yes, that was my original thought too, BUT I checked the efficiencies and the amount of amps on each rails and this is what I got

SEASONIC:
+3.3V: 24A
+5V: 24A
+12V1: 48A
+5VSB: 2.5A
-12V: 0.8A
efficiency 87%
80 PLUS BRONZE

CORSAIR:
+3.3V: 24A
+5V: 30A
+12V1: 52A
+5VSB: 3.0A
-12V: 0.8A
efficiency: 20% (Light): 83.21%
50% (Typical): 85.13%
100% (Full): 81.28%
80 PLUS

The Antec High Current Gamer is based on the Seasonic S12II Bronze 620W unit, so maybe you would consider that if it is cheaper, it also has a longer ATX12V/EPS12V cable than the Seasonic unit it is based on.

Anyway, according to this: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Antec/HCG-620/4.html the protections IC is a PS223 which does support UVP. This link lists all the protections that unit supports. So I would question whether the Seasonic is lacking that protection, I would also question whether the supposed lack of UVP is a good reason not to get an otherwise good power supply.

Another review of Seasonic units: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cases/display/seasonic-psu-roundup.html

So in conclusion, I would choose either the Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620 or the Seasonic it is based on, but probably the Antec because of the cheaper price and longer ATX12V/EPS12V cable.

The SEASONIC of course They are Class, for that price its a steal. But I'll rather try to get a 750W power supply. I mean it depends whats your end goal...

620W-650W will be more than enough for me, I am not into SLI or extremely high-end GPUs
