go with gtx 570 or gtx 580,if your pocket allows it,its best bang for bucks,it will easily max out anything, with good frame rates, dont look for ati,it sucks.

What kind of budget are you working with? The GTX 570 and 580 GPU's are very expensive, and a mid-range graphics card like the 6850, 6870, or GTX 460 would better suit your needs.

Well Even cheaper would be the Radeon 5770. They are good mid range cards that run anything. What kind of motherboard are you working with? Are their two PCI express slots and is one at least x16 if not , no matter what card you get it will be handicapped. If you have two slots you could get dual 5770 and crossfire them up. Anything higher then this your processor would bottleneck. But 5770 card is affordable and runs everything it seems you would need. Keep in mind PS3 graphics are based off of whatever card was good during the time of production and many new cards today would blow away that ps3.

Something about 200$ would be good was looking at the geforce 1gb 460, only have 1 pci e 16x slot, and was wondering if my computer would be too slow, not sure of the mobo the hp model #is p6223w couldn't find what mobo it has looks pretty basic when i installed psu, only 1 pcie slot and such, would the geforce 460 just make my comp bottleneck?
