Hello,
Can I make a 19V battery pack to use instead of the line powered HP Mini 110 power supply?

Did you lose the battery it came with?

I'm guessing it would cost your 5 to 10 times more to build your own than to buy a replacement

No, but life on battery on my HP Mini 1000 Netbook is around two hours. I have just bought a new HP Mini 110 for my wife and it seems to run for 8 hours!

I realize now that the HP Mini I own is really the Compaq Mini with a different battery to the current HP Mini.
Any comment on how long the Compaq Mini battery should last?

That's about normal for a Compaq Mini 700.
