Dvd drive

Hi, my laptop is only reading the audio bit of the dvd and not the video, how can i fix it?
PS: My laptop is a VAIO SONY VGN-CR21Z/R

And as i have put in a reply, the problem is that it used to be able to read both bits, now it only reads the audio and using VLC won't help.

it sounds like you need to download the codecs for it.Is it xvid-divx? if so, then install divx

What OS? Windows XP, Vista HB (?and Pro?) don't have the necessary codecs with them.

VGN-CR would have Vista by default

The problem is, before it used to read both bits, now it only reads the audio and i have tried playing it with VLC nd tried to fix it but it won't work
