Dual clone help?

Hello,
I'm attempting to hook up my projector to a HP Tablet PC currently running XP, the problem being, I can only use the tablet itself as the primary monitor and extend the desktop to the secondary monitor, and I can't change it to accept the external monitor as a primary connection? the box in display properties is greyed out?
Can you help?

I have no idea myself, i presumed it was to do with the tablet, and that the mouse control is tablet based?
