Hi!

I am looking to purchase a server power supply that can support this motherboard. How do I go about finding one?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

It seems like it needs 2 8-pin connectors (one for each CPU) and I can't seem to find any power supplies that match this criteria. Am I missing something here? This is the first server I am building ever. I have built only desktop PCs before so I am not entirely familiar with the PSU aspect of servers. Thanks.

Chieftec have several PSUs with 2 x 12V+ Link: http://www.chieftec.com/power_nitroII.html I use the Nitro BPS 950C on my Tyan S8812 board with 4 x Opteron 6272 CPUs on.

great system, alias.
does it work at full throttle? what is about multiple channel amd memory controller? what cpu-ram bandwidth do you see in your system?

i'm very curious since i'm building similar system but on dual G34 with 4 16-x pci-e slots for GPUs. It will be GPU based system mostly and I use tyan just because they installed two SR5690 providing 4 16-x PCI-e. but testing of recent amd desktop processor made me totally frustrated. X4 turned to be very bad from cpu-ram bandwidth point of view. So it is very interesting to test opterons.

please reply to fadey@appl.sci-nnov.ru if possible.

thanks in advance
