Hi All,
I've got a very old system (AMD 64 2800+, Asus K8N-e Deluxe, Geforce 9300GT 512 MB, Geil Ram 2.5 GB) that I want to replace with newer (but not necessarily new) hardware (each of the 4 items only) but need to do so for as much less than $200 as possible if possible. I don't need a great performance increase but 30% to 50% (or more) would be great if it's even possible for the price.

Thanks in advance for any help.

just off the top of my head:

AS Rock 880 GM: $59.99 (back in stock on 2/18)
4 GB DDR3-1333: $39.99
Athlon II X3 450: $79.99

This is $180. Its more than 100% more powerful, though you have to use the on-board video (or keep your 9300). Another $75 would get a HD 5670 or an HD 4850, but that's over your budget.

Though if you had enough parts, you could put those old pieces together and sell it on ebay. You'd get at least $50-$90 for the old system. That would be enough for the graphics card.

I have now postponed the purchase until APR/MAY so I can increase the available funding to around $300. I'll probably just post the same question but with a higher spendable amount sometime in April.

Thanks,
