My modem details on different modem, exchange, house?

So me and a few friends got into a debate about whether we could take our ISP account name and password to a friends house/modem thats on a different exchange and lives a few kilometres away type our details into their modem, wait for it to sync and wed have internet access. Basically we wanna know whether it would work or not, since were having mixed feelings bout whether it would or not.

If you both have the same ISP, it might work. Depending of how the ISP sets it up you might need to replace there modem with your modem. The only real way to know is to try it.
If your try to log in with there modem, Make sure your unplug your modem So that your account doesn't get logged in twice.
