A friend of mine wants me to build him a gaming pc in the next month or two
I've picked out some parts I would like to use
Is there anything I should switch out? Also is everything compatible?
thanks

Hello sparda92;

Excellent choice of parts. The only suggestion I have is swap out the CM V8 CPU cooler with the CM Hyper 212+. Cools better and costs less.

In two months - if you can wait that long - the list would change to include the Core i-7 2600K CPU or Core i5-2600K CPUs and a P67 motherboard.

What resolution monitor will be used? The HD 6870 GPU would make you think it's a 'replacement' for the HD 5870 when in fact it's not quite as strong a performer.
