Worth upgrading?

Hi everyone,

I would like to start by listing my system specs:
MSI P55-CD53 (not SLI/crossfire!)
i7 860 @ 3.6GHz
Palit GTX 260
CoolerMaster 500W power supply
6GB DDR3 RAM (with overclock speeds are 1312mhz ??)
2x 1TB HDD's

Now, lately I have been wanting to upgrade my GTX 260 for higher fps, ofcourse. But there are so many choices now, I do not know where to go. Currently, I think I should wait for end of 2011 and get a new GPU then, when Nvidia will have the Kepler series GPU. Will my gtx 260 suffice for the next year? I am only 15 and I do not have a lot of money, but I can save up. (Currently about 340 euro- $450). I know I will need a new power supply for a high end GPU. ! Any tips on when/what to upgrade??
And, recently one of my memory slots stopped working, all 3 of my RAMs did not operate in it. So I had to put the RAM in different slots.. does this affect the performance?

You can get a good power supply like the Corsair 650 TX and a GTX 570 for that price.

get gtx 480 or gtx 570,you just need to upgrade psu.what ever you do?good luck.

nope my motherboard doesnt support SLI.
wouldn't it be smarter to upgrade next year though? With the Nvidia kepler series..
