nothing will make big difference you would better off with gtx 460,because nvidia mostly suits intel.get whatever is cheaper,it wont make big difference.

If your resolution is below 1080p just get the GTX 460, that's a nice deal. Otherwise in general the HD6850 is 10-15% faster than the GTX 460 768mb so if that is worth the money to you then go for it.
Considering you only play WoW I'd probably go for the cheaper card but if moving up to 3 monitors is something you may want to do the ATI cards allow for that and the Nvidia cards don't(unless you SLI.)

actually nvidia works great in amd systems and ati work great in intel systems... its a rumor that needs to die a terrible terrible death

the 6850 will out preform the gtx 460 768 meg card in almost all applications.

now if you could afford the gtx 460 1 gig (not the SE vertion) that't be mroe on par with the 6850

the reason im looking at the 2 i am is because of the good deals on them. if i went with the 1gb 460 id be way over the 150 price range.

i guess the big question is if i need the extra memory because i run 2 screens.

Will you actually be gaming on both screens at once or will the second just be for regular Windows tasks?

the sapphire really is a killer deal but here's a 1 gig 460 for less with a better warrenty

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

$180 or $150 after rebate

both are excellent cards, either one would handle WoW in ultra at your resolution and run two monitors just fine.

i'd go with the 460 as wow likes nvidia card better in general, but if you plan to add a 3rd monitor ever then i'd go 6850 as native eyefinity, you'd have to sli a second gtx 460 for 3 monitors

The second monitor will use very little memory if it isn't being used for gaming.

Personally, I will never buy another AMD/ATI board. Their drivers have always been buggy and still are.

I've been using one for a while with no issues. Less than when I used an Nvidia card I guess but I never had much problems there either. I do like the interface of the Nvidia control panel better than CCC but that's about it.

I've never had many driver issues myself unless i get lazy and don't run a drive sweeper then its mroe driver conflicts. with the old ones. also onboard graphics drives where you put an ati card on a board with nvidia onboard or vise versa can skrew with em

I'm with jyjjy i liek the nvidia interface better (liek the asus custom one with my asus 450 alto mroe than either) but neve rhad major driver issues the newer cards from both seem to be solid and workign well, thogh expect more improvment in the 6850 over time as the gtx 460 has been out longer so its pretty optimised at this point
