in the mobile version even if you had an i7 BUT any model that start with i#-6xx or lower is still a dual core version. The Sandy Bridge mobile processes any version that has i#-26xx is also considered a dual core.

Not to throw a chink in the armor but there is actuall the i7-2630QM which is a quad core: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=52219&processor=i7...

Easiest way to remember it is if there is a QM then it is a Quad Core. If there is no Q then it is a dual core:
i7-2620M = Dual
i7-2630QM = Quad
