I have burnt out my Asus M4A78T-E and am looking to have a working motherboard. I am thinking of going either with my old mobo:

or the following Asus mobo:

I am currently running a AMD 955 Black Edition and have no desire to upgrade any component except for the motherboard.

Any help you guys can give me would greatly appreciated. BTW. Looking to purchase the motherboard in the next 48 hours.

Thanks

Well, it depends. I'd prefer the second one because it has USB 3.0. On the other hand, you're likely to have to reinstall the OS with a different motherboard.

Bummer that this happened now. In a couple months, you could've gotten an AM3+ board that would be good for the next generation of CPUs too.
