Dual core upgrade to Quad core.

Hello,
I am trying to upgrade my CPU from a AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core to a AMD Phenom II x4 955 Quad core.
I have a Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Mobo. I installed the new CPU and power up my PC. The PC knows I have installed a new CPU and wants me to enter setup to set defaults, but my keyboard wont work. Reinstalled the old CPU and keyboard works. So I uninstalled the drivers for the old CPU. Rebooted my PC. Shutdown PC reinstalled the new Quad core CPU and powered up the PC and the samething happened. no Keyboard. So Ive reinstalled the AMD Athlon 64x2 CPU and reinstalled the driver.

i think you might have to update your bios version and clean install everything.What is your bios version?

I did update my bios. I've sent all the new PC stuff back. I'm back to using my AMD Athlon 64x2 with my M2N32-SLI Deluxe with one PNY 550Ti and my PC is running better than it ever did. Thank you for your time.
