Manufacturer for ide ata/atapi controllers

How do i find out manufactures web sites for drivers and devices in my computer that need to be installed , updated and or plugged in. I'm trying to manually install, update, and or plug in devices and drivers so i do not have to pay for it.
I have tried to go to web sites that will do it for free but they require a cell phone number that I do not have to get promo codes to install it for free. How can I get around with out spending money?

Drivers are free. You should not have to pay for them.

So, what make/model of motherboard do you have? With that information, we can point you to the proper sites to get what you need. Also, what version of Windows are you using?

I'm not sure how to tell the make/model of my computers mother board but here is a small list of the drivers and one device that I need to install:
DEVICE - Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller
DRIVERS - Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chip Set Family PCI Express

What version of Windows are you using?

Also, if you look the motherboard, the make/model will be stenciled (written) somewhere on it.

These are standard devices and both Windows 7 and Vista should detect and install these drivers automatically. You can also go to Intel (see below) for most of these as well:
