Hey All,

I just built up a new rig specs below:

i7-950 oc'd to 3.9Ghz
6 gigs ddr 3 1600
Asus Rampage III Gene
Nvidia GTX 580 (EVGA OC)
Corsair 120GB SSD
1 Bluray/DVD Drive
750W Corsair tx PSU

I was wondering if I should throw in a dedicated physx card. Was thinking something along the lines of a gts 450.

Also I wondering if this set-up can handle the additional draw of the gts 450 using my current corsair tx 750w PSU?

I appreciate your help!

Solution
gts 450 is overkill for physx only, a 512mb ddr5 gt240 will be more than enough, but you won't see much of an improvement unless the game uses a ridiculous amount of physx effects like mafia ii.

And yes your PSU can handle both cards.
