How can I check if all cores of my CPU are functioning?

I heard someone said there is a way to check if there is any problem with CPU..

I ve already looked at it, but can't find any display like core 1, core2. It just shows how much ram I am using and how much capacities of my cpu being used.. can you post a pic of it to show me?

But when you go into t.manager, theres a tab with a square graph for each core you have, say you have a quadcore chip, theres four boxes, each showing what core 0,1 etc are currently doing

yes I go to performance and I see two green boxes. Maybe that stand for the 2 cores? but there is no name like core 1 or core 2 .

What is your CPU? If it is a dual core, then you are fine. Each is a thread. If you have a hyper-threaded Intel Pentium 4 CPU, then it will show 2 threads. If you have a dual core CPU, it will show two.
