2560*1600 rez sli/crossfire efficient setup?

I have an i5 750@3.2 Ghz, 4Gb ddr3@1600 Mhz, Ati 5850 stock clocks, 750W antec true power and .... I've just bought a 30" LG 2560*1600 monitor.
The frame rates aren't what they used to be :p  ... so I'm thinking about buying :
1. a secondary 5850 - cheapooo
2. a couple of 570's
3. a couple of 6850's

Which should I choose ... or can you guys recommend something else?

Best solution

2 x HD6950's in crossfire would be plenty for that res and more capable than the 1GB HD5870's or HD6850's. The GTX570's might run out of VRAM aswell

Remember CF/SLI does not combine the VRAM of the cards together.

Well, since you already has a single HD5850 then add another one is the cheapest way. I'm pretty sure dual HD5850 should handle 2560x1600 just fine. :)
