Is pentium 4 processor is upgradable to core 2 duo

Hello,
i got an old laptop which is packard bell easynote h5135. it have pentium 4 processor 3.4 ghz can i upgrade the processor to core 2 duo or dual core processor.

No. I googled "pentium 4 processor 3.4 ghz". It is an S478 part. Sockets are incompatible.

Depends on socket; if you have socket 478, you have no upgrade path. If you have 775, then you have to check which chipset [775 had a bunch of differnet chipsets, which support no, some, or all CD2/C2Q chips] you have and what CPU's it supports.
